  • YUP, IT'S WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE

OMFG! Seriously. No...seriously. We cannot contain ourselves. We have become the proud owners of a squashed lump of ethylene and chlorine mixture better known as Spiral Scratch. A first pressing! From 1977! In...fkg...deed. This is where it all started; the DIY ethos, the self-empowerment, the million small labels like..well...us. It's going to sit at top of the mixing desk at Crocfinger Heights as a constant reminder.

  • WHO'S DOING WHAT

John MOuse played a few dates recently including a support slot for legends Half Man Half Biscuit at Komedia in Bath. Six shows are planned for March 2018 including London for Huw Stephens, Brighton, Bath, Manchester, Cardiff and Rhondda. Dates and venues will be confirmed soon.

Munterettes are starting to think about preparing to start developing their debut EP. The exitement is palpable.

Phil from Prince Edward Island is continuing to write dark psych rock for John and a welsh spoken word synth-pop album for someone as yet unfound.

  • YOUR FUNNY LITTLE WAYS BY JOHN MOUSE OUT NOW

John MOuse follows up on ‘I was a goalkeeper’, which received plaudits and plays from BBC Radio 6, Radio 1, XFM, and Absolute Radio, with new single ‘Your funny little ways’. Taken from the acclaimed third album ‘The Death of John Mouse’ it is released by Crocfingers Records and available for download on itunes from 25th September 2015 .

‘Your funny little ways’ contrasts three minutes of thinly-veiled observations about a partner’s outrageous behaviour over a backdrop of pure melodic guitar pop, and all in front of the ‘kay’ ‘e’ ‘dee’ ‘ess’, too...

  • RHYTHM & PALS GETTING TOP REVEWS

The great reviews continue with I Heart The Monster Hero getting praise all over the place for Rhythm & Pals. The Last Mixed Tape gave it 9/10 calling it 'an album of great contrast, constantly evolving and changing both it’s shape and scope the L.P works as uncompromising début from a band that simply permeate creativity on all levels'. State gave it 4/5 saying ‘Hands down, the most interesting album of the year’. Ringmaster Review gave it 9/10 saying ‘Rhythm and Pals is a rare and uniquely exhilarating treat’ The Irish Times gave it 4 stars and Nialler 9 noted it was ‘leaving a frantic lo-fi pop-soaked mark on the Irish indie scene’. The sound of confusion made single Toni Bailey the Obligatory Record of the Day.

  • ‘THE DEATH OF JOHN MOUSE’ RELEASED TO GREAT REVIEWS

We’re delighted with the response following the release of John’s album. Soundscape awarded it 9/10 calling it ’a compelling album’. The Line of Best Fit gave it 7 stars, saying it was ‘remarkable 33 minute album’. S4M gave it 8/10 ‘John MOuse has created an album that's fresh and full of character, and at times, genuinely funny’ . Louder than War said John was ‘a highly original artist’. And Pete Paphides likes it, so it must be half-decent. We already knew that, though.
